Why Do You Create?
Why do you create?
A question that pops often in my head. Sometimes I don’t know to be honest. Sometimes to create is the best place to go for me. Mentally, physically. Any form of creation is meditative: Sports, Art, Writing, hell even fantasizing. Any way to get from the “here” was my goal. But now I am trying to be more present in life. And with that comes great responsibility. I no longer can blame time blindness for projects being late. So to be aware of where you are, why you are where you are, and thinking about where you want to go, is powerful. To then pull from that, and embrace the present moment, is like powerful with another “ful” at the end. Life is a marathon, and the way to win is to stay steady. You combine the polar opposites of strive, and gratefulness, to form a concoction of goal chasing, and life making. I learned all of this during creation. During silence, my soul churned out reason after reason for this decision; that decision. And at the end of these thoughts, came beautiful artwork.
